The Atrium Launches the Michael Gentile Employee Education and Advancement Fund
October 2, 2024Michael Gentile served as the Executive Director of The Atrium at Navesink Harbor for a decade before retiring in the spring of 2024. To honor and celebrate his longtime dedication and service, the Springpoint Foundation recently launched the Michael Gentile Employee Education and Advancement Fund. Beginning with a $100,000 “challenge gift” put forth by a resident, the fund quickly surpassed $200,000 through the generosity of fellow residents, family members, and staff of The Atrium.
Prior to his retirement, Gentile worked closely with management and the Foundation to ensure that this philanthropic endeavor would directly benefit and support The Atrium team members and residents. Mirroring the success of Springpoint’s CNA Training Program, the Michael Gentile Employee Education and Advancement Fund will enable the community to better identify and invest in dedicated front-line/hourly employees, specifically by providing:
- Scholarship funds for career certifications that best align with team members’ unique skills and talents
- Funds for advanced certifications and professional development
- Salary support while team members pursue these studies/certifications
By offering these advanced career and education opportunities to employees, the resident experience will benefit through improved activities, programming, and health/care services throughout the community. This will also help further The Atrium’s reputation as a destination senior living community to both live and work.
This is just one example of Springpoint’s commitment to offering exceptional opportunities and innovative programs so that residents and team members can experience the best that life has to offer. To view the full list of Springpoint’s total rewards and value programs, please visit our website.
